User-testing platforms generally pay per completed test rather than per hour. Tests arrive irregularly and are screened by demographics, so most testers complete a handful per month at most. We report only pay figures stated on the provider's own official pages.

- Requests to install software that asks for broad device permissions outside the test
- Pressure tactics such as countdown timers or fake scarcity
