How it works

Our methodology: DISCOVER → VERIFY → ORGANIZE → PUBLISH

A listing can only be published after it passes through each of these stages. Anything that fails along the way never goes live.

1. DISCOVER — we find a candidate.A research sweep identifies an opportunity — a survey platform, a user-testing site, a micro-job board, and so on. At this stage a draft record is created and nothing is public.
2. VERIFY — we check it against the provider's own official pages.The verifier confirms: is the provider a real, operating company with an official site and contact information? What does it say it pays, and is there a citable figure on its own page? What does it cost to join — including any fees, deposits, or equipment requirements? How and when does it pay, and are there payout thresholds? Finally, the candidate goes through the red-flag screen below. Everything checked is recorded with its source.
3. ORGANIZE — we categorize it and schedule a re-check.Verified records are placed in a category, tagged, and given a scheduled re-verification date (90 days by default; 30 days for fast-changing platforms such as AI training sites).
4. PUBLISH — only if it passes.A listing publishes only when it is verified, every required field is complete, and any pay figure is either quoted from the provider's official page or honestly marked "Varies." Uncertain cases are held for owner review and never publish without a decision.

The red-flag screen

During verification, any of the following sends a candidate to Rejectedor Owner review — never to publication:

• Upfront fees to "unlock" earnings. Requiring payment before you can work is the single most common warning sign.
• Income guarantees. Guaranteed earnings, "get rich quick" language, or earnings claims without a citable source.
• No verifiable company. No identifiable operating entity, official site, or contact information.
• Crypto-task schemes. Crypto-payment-only or token-based "tasks" are out of scope for this site.
• Gambling or investing framing. Betting, gambling, or investment schemes presented as earning opportunities.
• Pyramid or recruitment pay. Compensation based primarily on recruiting others rather than on the work itself.
• Pressure tactics. Countdown timers, fake scarcity, "only a few spots left" — anything designed to stop you thinking.
• Sensitive-data requests at signup. Asking for financial credentials or other sensitive personal data just to register.
• Hostile fine print. Material terms that contradict the listing's claims, such as clauses seizing accounts or forfeiting earned balances on inactivity.

The five verification statuses

Every listing carries one of these statuses. Only Active listings are publicly visible.

Active

Verified and current. The listing was checked against the provider's official pages and passed. Shown publicly.

Needs verification

Due for a re-check — its scheduled review date has passed or something changed. Unpublished until it can be re-verified.

Expired

No longer available — the provider shut it down, changed terms fundamentally, or it otherwise ceased to exist. Never shown publicly.

Rejected

Failed the red-flag screen or verification checks. Never published.

Owner review

Held for a decision by the site's owner — for example, an uncertain case or a flagged record. Held from publication until resolved.

Realistic earnings, always

We publish pay figures only when the provider states them on its own official page — and we link to that source. When no citable figure exists, the listing reads "Varies — see details" with a plain explanation of why.

Results vary. How much you actually earn depends on factors outside our control: how much work is available, where you live, whether you qualify, how much demand there is for your skills, and how much time you put in. Treat any promise of guaranteed income — on this site or anywhere else — as a red flag.

Re-verification

Every listing shows a "last verified" date and carries a scheduled re-check. If a listing can't be re-verified, it is flagged and unpublished until it can be. If you spot something wrong with a listing, use the "report a problem" link on the page — it creates a re-check task, not an automatic edit.

No paid placement, ever

No provider can pay to be listed, ranked, or featured. Inclusion in the directory and the order of listings are never influenced by payment of any kind. We have no affiliate relationships today, and if we ever do, they will be disclosed on the page and will never affect verification or rankings. See our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure for details.
